My fee for a 50-55 minute session is $140. My fee for the 90 minute intake with parents is $210. I prefer checks or cash for payment.
Considering utilizing insurance? I am in network only with Cigna. My services are also available through the 18th Judicial District Victims Compensation Program and Denver's Center for Trauma and Resilience. For all other health insurance companies, I am able to provide receipts for reimbursement. However, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company to better understand your out of network coverage.
A Note About Insurance
While insurance can certainly be helpful in making therapy more accessible for families, I encourage parents to consider paying out of pocket. Insurance policies require practitioners to assign a diagnosis code, which becomes a permanent part of your child's medical record. Insurance companies also periodically perform audits of client charts, which can require the entire chart be made available to the auditor. Privacy of client information cannot be guaranteed when that happens. With all this in mind, many families find that it is preferable to decline any insurance benefits for their child's therapy.
I am happy to discuss any further questions you may have regarding fees and insurance.
Good Faith Estimates
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
